Hammond, IN Hammond, IN 6 days ago 6 days ago 6 days ago Overview of Executive Director, Institutional Research Reporting to the Associate Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, the Executive Director is responsible for leading the Office of Institutional Research and designing comprehensive research and assessment programs that support data-informed decision-making, strategic planning efforts, and contribute to overall institutional effectiveness.
This position will manage an office that facilitates the use of data and analysis for institutional planning, assessment, and effectiveness; prepares reports and surveys to ensure compliance with federal and national reporting obligations; supports institutional and program accreditation requirements; provides internal operational reporting; conducts survey research; has oversight for student course evaluations; and develops and maintains data quality audits for enterprise data systems.
Duties and Responsibilities of Executive Director, Institutional Research Develop and lead strategic research activities that help to inform senior leadership on progress associated with the university's mission and strategic goals Serve as a campus leader of data management, data analytics, and surveys to support the centralized collection, management, analysis, interpretation, and reporting of information to support data-informed decisions Participate in the development of key performance metrics to align with strategic initiatives Present reports to the administration, deans, department chairs, and other university constituents individually and in official, group settings Oversee the accurate data collection and analyses to support high priority institutional projects and requests, to respond to external requests, and to meet the regulatory, reporting, and public relations needs of the University Leverage the use of university-supported data infrastructure and tools, electronic resources, reporting mechanisms, and IR technology to obtain data, produce reports, create dashboards, and provide all needed information to campus leadership and stakeholders Actively participate in shared leadership (with Information Systems, Enterprise Applications, Enrollment Management) to maintain the campus information infrastructure Organize and manage the Office of Institutional Research, including prioritizing workflow, supervising staff assignments, and managing the IR budget to attain department and divisional goals Provide oversight for the creation and distribution of assessment-related support materials, including online student evaluation of teaching/course evaluations and program market analyses Benefits of Executive Director, Institutional Research Full benefits - Medical, Dental, Vision, Short Term Disability, Retirement, Life Insurance and more Accrue 15 days' vacation your first year, then 22 days' vacation your 2nd year plus rollover University contribution of 10% to retirement (3 year waiting period) University contributions to Health Savings Account - Plus a chance to earn more through participating in University Wellness Initiatives 10 paid holidays Employee Wellness Programs Paid Parental Leave after one year of service Tuition remission for you, your spouse and dependent children at any Purdue campus For more information on our excellent benefit package, please visit:

Education of Executive Director, Institutional Research Master's degree or higher from an accredited institution with demonstrated experience in institutional research, data management, statistics, educational research, or a related field Experience of Executive Director, Institutional Research Five years of significant and relevant experience in a higher education management role that includes experience in supervising employees, building teams, collaborating with other campus units, and planning/executing data collection, analysis, interpretation, and reporting Core Competencies of Executive Director, Institutional Research Conversant with current best practices in data management and analysis in a university environment Demonstrated proficiency with common higher education IR data technology (MS Office, Tableau, SPSS/SAS, PL/SQL, Qualtrics, Banner, Cognos, R, Python, etc.
) in a higher education setting Demonstrated expertise in utilizing advanced statistical analysis and the use of statistical/analytical/visualization software to inform key higher-education leadership decisions Experience with data governance to ensure accurate, reliable, and consistent institutional data Extensive experience with State and federal reporting requirements for public universities and colleges Comprehensive knowledge of project management as it relates to Institutional Research operations Ability to focus on working collaboratively with other campus/system units to develop innovative processes for data management which will enable Purdue Northwest to meet its strategic goals Additional Information Professional references will be verified prior to any offer of employment.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
