Hammond, IN Hammond, IN $16 an hour $16 an hour Overview of Shipping, Receiving, Mail and Moves Coordinator Our Auxiliary Support Services department at Purdue University Northwest is seeking a Shipping, Receiving, Mail and Moves Coordinator to join their team.
The primary responsibility of the position provides timely, efficient and effective services consisting of Mail Services & Package Delivery, Shipping & Receiving.
The secondary responsibility will be assisting with event set up, office and various moves, recycling and general cleaning and other Building Services support.
Assist our Grounds and Maintenance departments with general tasks and snow removal as needed.
Individual in this position must be willing to work as a team member and take the initiative to foster continuous improvement that will insure on-going valued added services are being provided by Auxiliary Support Services and Facilities Services.

General Services Assistant Duties and Responsibilities of Shipping, Receiving, Mail and Moves Coordinator Primary
Responsibilities:
Coordination of mail services, package delivery, shipping and receiving.
Receiving, inspecting, and at times unloading shipments by any carrier.
Assist customers with Office Max returns Responsible for the management and operation of the Hammond campus warehouse including pickup and delivery of record storage boxes, verify boxes are properly labeled and move to record retention area Annually shred records based on retention date.
Secondary Responsibilities Assist with event set up/break down, office/furniture and miscellaneous moves, recycling, building services support Assist Grounds and Maintenance Departments with general tasks and snow removal Maintenance of delivery vehicle:

Experience of Shipping, Receiving, Mail and Moves Coordinator One-year work experience in at least one of the following is required:
shipping, receiving, package delivery, and/or mail Prior work experience in a university setting is preferred.
Education of Shipping, Receiving, Mail and Moves Coordinator High school diploma/GED Core Competencies of Shipping, Receiving, Mail and Moves Coordinator Ability to work well with people Ability to handle multiple tasks with varying deadlines.
Basic level proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel in a MS Windows environment.
Valid driver's license required and must be an acceptable vehicle driver under the Purdue University Risk Management Standards.
Must be able to bend, kneel, climb a ladder up to 10 ft.
high, and lift up to 50-80 lbs.
and on occasions with equipment assistance up to 100 lbs.
Excellent written, verbal, math and customer service skills required.
Able to perform job responsibilities with direct or minimum supervision.
Ability to work adjusted schedule dependent upon area of coverage.
Ability to work overtime to meet the business needs of the University.
Perform other related duties as requested.
Must be able to travel to other PNW locations as needed.
