As a key member of our career services department, you will play a vital role in providing essential administrative support.

00/hour Duties and Responsibilities of Administrative Assistant Schedule appointments and provide necessary information to students seeking career guidance and counseling via Handshake Assist in collecting feedback from students after appointments with staff Update Handshake profiles for Alumni who request access Assist in coordinating on-campus recruitment events, job fairs, and employer presentations as needed Assist employers with job postings, interview schedules, and campus visit logistics via Handshake Assist in organizing job fairs, employer panels, and industry-specific events to enhance career opportunities for students (e.
g.
, placing catering and table orders for fairs) Complete Next Step Survey calls to recent grads Coordinate and maintain Federal Work Study Program Order departmental giveaways to distribute to employers and students Keep the career center space/ professional clothing closet neat and inviting Respond to Career Center inquiries via email, phone, and in-person visits Schedule and coordinate transportation for off campus recruitment events Education of Administrative Assistant High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree preferred) Experience of Administrative Assistant Previous experience in an administrative or customer service role, ideally in an educational or career services setting Core Competencies of Administrative Assistant Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with students, alumni, and employers Strong organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite and database management software Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a team Familiarity with career development principles and resources is a plus Ethical and sensitive to maintaining confidentiality and privacy of student and employer information Additional Information Professional references will be verified prior to any offer of employment.
