I/E Technician

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE JOB:
Repair, install& troubleshoot electronic & pneumatic instrumentation & controlequipment, as well as electrical work involving motors, transformers,precipitators, starters, switchgear, breakers & lighting up to servicesinvolving 2300 volts.
Employee must have a detailed working knowledge of allpneumatic & electronic instrumentation & control equipment used in theplant such as indicators, recorders, transmitters, controllers, transducers,pneumatic valve operators, positioners, etc.
They must be able to troubleshoot &repair the various types of temperature, pressure, level & flow instrumentsin use in the plant & to do so with a minimum of instruction orsupervision.
Employee should be able to work from electrical drawings &diagrams furnished by the equipment manufacturer or the engineer.
Also involvedin the installation of new equipment up to 600 volts.
Installation of wiring& conduit up to 2 diameter in pipe racks.
Operate forklift, manlift &hand tools including drills, hack saws, wrenches & grinders.
Removal &installation of small piping components & control valves.
Bend & threadconduit up to 2.
Able to perform preventive maintenance on instrumentationwhich utilizes small wiring (22 AWG).
Capable of working with, programming& troubleshooting PLC's &distributive control systems.
Management can change job content to effectefficient operation of the plant.

Responsibilities:
List the job's essential safetyresponsibilities.
This would includesuch things as writing procedures, completing work permits, conducting safetymeetings, etc.
List activities that dealwith RCRA or environmental management such as training, manifesting, labeling,used oil management, disposal, inspection etc.
Reviewyearly &, when necessary, assist in creating job procedures.
Responsiblefor following all Safety polices that have been established at the Hammond plant e.
g.
Stop Work Policy, Zero Tolerance Policy,etc.
Participate in weekly & monthlysafety meetings.
Ensure that allpermits have been issued, that the proper PPE and tools are being used, andthat all necessary lock out and tag outs have been completed prior to startinga job.
Immediately report any unsafe condition or behavior to your supervisor& write safety work orders or Near Miss reports to document the unsafe conditionsor actions.
Perform the CEM inspectionsand calibrations as required and document the results.
Perform the quarterlyand annual state mandated CEM tests.
Also perform the weekly haz wastecontainer inspections for used lamps, and batteries; and document theseinspections.
Actively participate in the housekeeping of the IE Shop andassigned area of responsibility.
Ensure the cleanliness of a work area after ajob is completed.
Adhere to theStandards for Employee Conduct.
Minimum Requirements:
This job requires basic math skills; moderate computer skills;the ability to climb a ladder, drive a forklift, use the manlift, and wear arespirator.
The person must be capable of using the necessary equipment to testand repair electrical circuits up to 600 volts AC.
The person must also be ableto troubleshoot and repair both pneumatic and electronic instrumentation loops.
Associate'sdegree (A.
A.
) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; orequivalent combination of education and experience.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
