The Administrative Assistant will support the Executive Assistant/Project Manager of Institutional Advancement along with the Alumni Engagement, Strategic Events, Development, Marketing and Communications and Career Services Offices by handling administrative tasks, including, but not limited to managing purchasing card operations, paying invoices, generating reports, and placing orders via our Ariba system.
Our Office of Institutional Advancement serves PNW students, alumni, faculty, staff and the community through philanthropic investment, student scholarships and marketing to demonstrate Purdue Northwest pride and loyalty.
This position has some flexibility to work in a hybrid work environment once fully trained.

00/hour Duties and Responsibilities of Administrative Assistant Prepares, process, track and reconcile Purchasing Cards, payment of invoices including W-9's and Payee Certs Places purchase orders in the Ariba procurement system Serves as the department receptionist, managing the day-to-day office functions within the Office of Institutional Advancement, logging and scanning checks, answering phones, taking messages, routing calls, greeting visitors, coordinate delivery of packages for all offices, tracking office supply needs, managing supply inventory, and organizing storage areas, order catering for meetings.
Update donor database, prepare reports, and provide support for all Institutional Advancement events.

Education of Administrative Assistant High School Diploma or GED Experience of Administrative Assistant Two years' experience in administrative support.
Experience in higher learning environment preferred.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
