A cleaner properly operates all cleaning equipment, including commercial vacuums, wet mops, large wringers and other necessary equipment, tools, chemicals, and supplies.
General Clean-up:
Clean and sanitize all entrances, offices, meeting rooms, work rooms, bathrooms, kitchenettes, storage rooms, and public areas.
Clean and sanitize all touch points such as doorknobs, light switches, handles and handrails, chair arms, etc.
Dust furniture, walls, machines, equipment and vents.
Service, clean, and supply restrooms.
Gather and empty all trash and recycling.
May include transporting trash from collection points to incinerator, compactor, or pick-up areas.
Inside windowpane(s), glass surfaces, mirrors, trim and baseboards as needed.
Polish metal fixtures or trimmings.
Complete non-routine cleaning according to specified job requests, handle emergency cleaning and upkeep requests as necessary.
Maintain and upkeep of all cleaning equipment, supplies, and products.
Reports repairs and replacements as needed.
Mix and dispose of all cleaning solutions properly.
Follow all health and safety regulations.
Ensure safe and sanitary storage and care of all products.
Other duties as assigned.
Floors:
Sweep, mop, scrub, and/or vacuum floors, paying attention to all edges and corners.
Spot cleaning arpets.
Other duties as assigned.
Bathrooms:
Clean toilets, urinals, stalls, hand basins, sinks, baths, showers and drinking fountains, and wipe surfaces.
Replenish consumables such as soap, paper towels, toilet paper, etc.
Empty trash and sanitary bins.
Dust the fan(s) / vent(s).
Clean all piping.
Mop and scrub floors.
Clean grout as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
ABILITIES / KEY COMPETENCIES / SKILLS At least 1 year proven working experience.
Ability to handle heavy janitorial equipment/tools.
Ability to stand for long lengths, walk, bend, reach, stretch, push, pull and lift repetitively during working hours.
Physically capable of lifting and moving objects up to 50 pounds, as necessary.
Knowledge and understanding of cleaning chemicals and supplies, proper storage and disposal methods, and proper techniques for cleaning.
Able to follow verbal and written directions and schedule.
Ability tto work independently with minimal or no supervision, with a partner or team.
Able adapt to changing schedules or routines.
Excellent time management skills.
Strong attention to detail.
