6K a year 6 days ago 6 days ago 6 days ago Job Duties/Responsibilities Meet with new hires to go over all employment paperwork and assist with employment process, including disseminating all pertinent employment information; answer any questions new hire may have Processing of new hires, including coordinating with Payroll and Insurance departments, ensuring proper setup in payroll system, setup in Global Compliance Network, processing of EVPs, processing of Indiana New Hires, etc.
Review and approve substitute teaching permits through the Licensing Verification System, when applicable Calculation and communication of probationary period and benefit time, including prorating of days when applicable, for new hire employees Send payroll step-ups on a yearly basis when applicable Create and distribute Opening of School Letter for employees yearly Assign substitutes to buildings when coverage is needed when applicable Reports new hires and terminations, retirements, resignations to the Indiana website in-new hire.
com Create and maintain accurate employee records, Personnel files, Human Resources lists, etc.
Work daily in LLOW/Linq payroll and HR system, updating general employee information and pay records as necessary and compiling reports Process transfers, resignations, retirements, and terminations.
Maintaining employee original hire dates in the payroll system.
Review, and process, when necessary, criminal background checks for potential employees through Safe Hiring Solutions and the Indiana State Police.
Manage the end-of-year evaluation process for employees, from initial distribution to collection and follow-up, if applicable.
Create, distribute, and maintain a database for reasonable assurance letters, on an annual basis.
Respond to general inquiries from the public and School City of Hammond (SCH) employees regarding personnel issues regarding all groups.
Inform employees of district policies, procedures, and other applicable law.
Compile the personnel report on a bi-weekly basis.
Create job postings, post job openings on NIMBLE.
Maintain the online application system on NIMBLE Prepare state reports as needed, including annual DOE-NE report and yearly Financial Report Create probation calendar for new employees.
Distribute the probation calendar and benefit day information to the employee and supervisor.
Respond to all inquiries from the Department of Workforce Development regarding employees' eligibility for unemployment insurance benefits Prepare employment verification letters for employees when requested.
Prepare letters and/or memos for personnel issues upon request.
Respond to verification of employment requests (verbal or written) from various corporations/agencies.
Coordinate distribution process of employee handbooks.
Work closely with the Payroll and Insurance Departments to ensure proper information is received in a timely manner.
Process longevity and tool and communicate this information to Payroll.
Communicate salary increment changes to the payroll department.
Compile data for ECA and Sports including contacting schools for recommendations, processing, creating, and maintaining a database, providing all certified, classified, and non-faculty salary information to payroll when applicable.
Maintain payroll information for ECA and Sports when applicable.
Report all Non-Faculty and Classified Coach staff members on the personnel report; this includes Initial recommendations, Changes/Corrections, and Resignations when applicable.
Submit all Non-Faculty and Classified Coach staff members information to Payroll when applicable.
This includes initial recommendations, changes and/or corrections and deletion of payments.
Process and communicate address, phone number, and name changes to the appropriate departments.
Maintain employee's personnel files on regular basis.
Send condolence notifications to all employees, as needed Switchboard coverage as needed Other projects/tasks as assigned Applicants will be screened after 5 days of posting.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
