Job Description:
The Training & Prevention Specialist is responsible for delivering high-quality training and interventions focused on the safe operation of commercial motor vehicles and the transportation of hazardous materials.
This role aims to enhance driver skills to meet and exceed standards set by the Department of Transportation and our company.
The ideal candidate will possess strong training capabilities, creative problem-solving skills, and the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with all levels of internal and external stakeholders.
Minimum
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED.
Clean motor vehicle record.
Proven background in safety & transportation, specifically with commercial motor vehicles.
Excellent communication skills, capable of clear and effective interactions with diverse groups.
Preferred
Qualifications:
Valid Class A CDL with Hazmat & Tanker endorsements.
Previous experience in commercial transport, especially with bulk liquid chemicals or fuel.
Familiarity with conducting DOT road tests and practical equipment training.
Skills and Knowledge:
Extensive knowledge of CDL requirements and bulk liquid tanker trailer equipment.
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Outlook) and ability to handle multiple tasks with competing deadlines.
Strong public presentation skills and professionalism in dealing with diverse populations.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
Ability to work both indoors in an office setting and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Capability to use standard office equipment and attend off-site meetings as required.
Physical strength to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
